Privacy
This page explains what happens to personal information you provide through pbtechmsp.co.nz. It is deliberately short, because this website collects very little. Our managed service and Aura AI carry their own, fuller Privacy and Data Processing Terms, which form part of a signed agreement and which we will give you before you sign anything.
Who we are
This website is operated by PB Technologies Limited, a New Zealand company, trading as PB Tech Managed Services. We are the agency responsible for personal information collected here under the Privacy Act 2020. You can reach our privacy contact at itsupport@pbtech.co.nz or on 09 886 6585.
What this website collects
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. This site sets no cookies, loads no analytics product, embeds no advertising or social pixels, and does not attempt to identify or profile you. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools. If that changes we will say so on this page and, where consent is required, ask for it before anything is set.
The pricing calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your seat count and module choices are held in the page address so you can share or return to a configuration, and nothing about them is sent to us unless you choose to contact us.
The scoping call request form does not submit to a server. It composes a message in your own email application, which you then choose to send or discard. We only receive what you send.
Information you give us directly
If you email us, call us, or book a scoping call, we collect what you provide: typically your name, your organisation, your contact details, and information about your IT environment. We collect it to respond to you, to scope and quote a service, and to keep a record of our dealings with you.
Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot quote or scope a service without it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard technical logs of requests, including IP address, timestamp, requested path, and browser user agent. These are used to keep the site available and secure, and to diagnose faults. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Where information is held
This website is served from infrastructure we operate in New Zealand. Business correspondence is held in our Microsoft 365 tenant and our service management platform, which is SOC 2 compliant and hosted in the ANZ region.
Our managed service and Aura AI involve disclosures outside New Zealand, which we set out rather than bury. Conversation transcripts and reporting data are held in PostgreSQL on AWS in Sydney, operated from our Auckland infrastructure. Real-time voice and language processing runs through our platform providers under an EU data residency configuration. Both are cross-border disclosures under the Privacy Act 2020 and are described in full in the Privacy and Data Processing Terms that accompany a service agreement. No customer content is used to train any provider's model.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and business record-keeping obligations, and then dispose of it securely. Where you become a customer, retention is governed by your service agreement. Aura AI transcripts carry a 30-day default retention, and a zero-retention configuration is available on request.
Keeping it safe
We apply the same controls we sell: enforced multi-factor authentication, risk-based conditional access, managed detection and response across endpoints and identities, encryption in transit and at rest, and least-privilege administrative access. No control set is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong.
If a privacy breach occurs that it is reasonable to believe has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected people as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to itsupport@pbtech.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. There is normally no charge. If we decline a request we will tell you why, and you can take that decision further.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please raise it with us first so we have a chance to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and the effective date above will tell you when it last changed. Material changes affecting existing customers are communicated directly rather than by quietly editing this page.
